Shock to Airtel broadband users, data rollover facility ended
Airtel Broadband: Airtel has discontinued the data rollover facility for its broadband customers. However, Airtel Postpaid customers can still forward their remaining data to their next billing cycle, which means that Airtel postpaid users will still be able to avail the data rollover facility. Airtel launched 'Data Rollover Promise' in July 2017, under which Airtel postpaid subscribers can forward the remaining data in their previous billing cycle to the current billing cycle. After Airtel Postpaid users, this facility was also introduced for Airtel Broadband subscribers.
Airtel's customer care executive told Gadgets 360 that the data rollover facility for Airtel postpaid users, later launched for broadband customers in November 2017, was discontinued earlier this month. Some customers have also started complaining about the update on social media platforms.
Apart from this, there is no mention of data rollover in the broadband plan listing on the Airtel website. We have contacted Airtel for more information regarding the data rollover, the news will be updated after the company gets a reply.
As we told you that Airtel postpaid users are still being given the facility of data rollover. According to the listing on Airtel's site, 75 GB 3G / 4G data is available with Rollover Benefit with Airtel Postpaid Plan for Rs 499. Explain that the benefit of data rollover does not apply if the user switches to a lower value plan. In such a case the operator deletes the remaining data.
