Eligibility criteria: All citizens of India above the age of 14 years who are permanent residents of Assam are eligible to register their names in the Employment Exchange of the State of Assam.
District: The candidates are eligible for Registration in one Employment Exchange only in the state, where they are permanent residents within the jurisdiction of the District.

How to Apply for Online Employment Exchange Registration?
Candidates who want to register their names in Employment Exchanges through online mode must apply through official web portal of Department of Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship, Assam. Basically there are two modes of Online Employment Exchange Registration – AADHAAR Based Verification and Non-AADHAAR Based Verification.
Registration numbers manually issued from any Employment Exchange of Assam prior to 27th Sept 2021 will remain valid only upto 31st March 2022 and after 31st March 2022, those registration numbers will be treated as invalid. Read the Official Order .
AADHAAR Based Verification
In AADHAAR Based Verification method, candidates may simply apply online through official portal by using their AADHAAR Card with permanent address within the state of Assam. They don't need to visit the Employment Exchange/s physically. So, candidates having AADHAAR Card may follow below mentioned steps.
- # Scroll down, go to Important Web-Link's section.
- # Click on Online Employment Exchange Registration link.
- # The official online exchange registration portal will be opened.
- # Click on "Register" button ; Enter Full Name, Email Id, Mobile No., Password and State and Click Submit Button .
- # Next, choose Apply with AADHAAR option.
- # Login to the portal by providing the Login ID and OTP/Password.
- # Now, fill all the necessary information.
- # Please scan all Educational Qualification (Pass Certificate & Mark sheets in chronological order from lowest level to highest level) into a single PDF and upload as one single PDF.
- # After successfully submission of application Employment Exchange Card (X 10) will be issued to his/ her registered Email.
Non-AADHAAR Based Verification
Candidates who don't have AADHAAR card must use Non-AADHAAR Based Verification method for getting Employment Exchange Registration Certificate. However, applicants have to physically visit Employment Exchange office/s for verification of documents. The online application process for Non-AADHAAR Based Verification is as mentioned below.

- # The official online exchange registration portal will be opened.
- # Click on "Register" button ; Enter Full Name, Email Id, Mobile No., Password and State and Click Submit Button .
- # Next, choose Apply without AADHAAR option.
- # Login to the portal by providing the Login ID and OTP/Password.
- # Select date and time for verification of documents.
- # Visit the respective employment exchange office for the documents verification.
- # Follow the necessary guidelines and process as described by concerned officials.
- # At the end, you will receive the Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
Documents Required for Online Employment Exchange Registration
Documents Related to Educational Qualification: Candidates have to produce a single PDF of all their pass certificates and mark sheets. Note that all copies of documents must be scanned and clearly readable otherwise your application may be rejected.
Age Proof: Candidates will have to submit any one of the following mentioned documents as their age proof.
- # Birth Certificate.
- # HSLC Admit Card.
- # School Certificate.
Proof of Residency: Candidates will have to submit any one of the following mentioned documents as a proof of their residence.
- # AADHAAR Card with permanent address within the state of Assam.
- # Driving License (Self or Parents).
- # Copy of Chitha/Jamabandi (Self or Parents).
- # Copy of Passport (Self or Parents).
- # Certified Copy of Electoral Roll/EPIC (Self or Parents).
Caste Certificate: Candidates have to upload caste certificate if they belong to SC/ ST/ OBC/MOBC/ EWS category.
PWD: PWD (Person with Disability) candidates have to upload a disability certificate issued by the competent authority.
Experience Certificate: Already employed candidates may upload experience certificates as applicable.
Non- Creamy Layer Certificate: OBC/ MOBC-NCL candidates may upload Non- Creamy Layer Certificate as applicable.
Age Limit: All citizens of India above the age of 14 years who are permanent residents of Assam are eligible to register their names in the Employment Exchange of the State of Assam.
Domicile: The candidates are eligible for Registration in one Employment Exchange only in the state, where they are permanent residents within the jurisdiction of the District.
NOC for Employed Candidates: Applicants who are already employed and seeking better employment have to be registered only after production of a “No Objection Certificate” issued by the employer.
Registration Fee for Employment Exchange Certificate
Employment Exchange Registration is completely a free process and candidates do not need to pay any registration/ application fee to obtain Employment Exchange Registration Certificate in Assam.
Renewal of Employment Exchange Registration Certificate
# Failure to renew the registration even after lapse of grace period (3 months), will lead to cancellation of registration and subsequent removal from Live Register maintained in the Employment Exchange.
# No request for renewal of registration after the expiry of the due month and grace period shall be entertained under any circumstances.
